Mocha Me Crazy Page 8
I sat there for a few minutes in silence as we enjoyed the millions of stars dotting the sky above us. There was something about the way he had opened up to me that made me feel warm inside.
“I always thought it would be cool to have an app that identifies constellations.” I said looking up at the stars.
“That would be cool. Maybe we can make that together someday.” He smiled as he looked at me. “So, what’s your story? What brings you to Vail? It’s a long way from home for you.”
I just looked down and shook my head. “I don’t have much of a story. I’m just trying to get my life together and decide what I want to do.” I cringed the moment the words left my mouth. I felt like I had revealed too much information to him. I had a serious problem with ‘life direction’ and he’d probably judge me for it since he was so successful himself.
He nodded his head. I could tell he noticed my sudden shift in attitude. “That’s nice. Vail is a good place to come to and wind down. Even though there are a lot of tourists, it’s a pretty quiet place. That’s why Cal and I moved here. After living in the big city your whole life you want to try something different out.” He smiled.
“That’s true.” I muttered as I took another sip of wine. We sat there for a few moments in silence as I wracked my brain for something else to talk about. I wanted to avoid topic of my career, or lack thereof, as much as possible.
I gulped down the rest of my wine and before I could stop myself, I asked, “So, is your organ really huge?” I couldn’t help but laugh as my hand covered up my mouth in surprise. I wasn’t used to drinking that much.
Hunter sat in silence for a moment, obviously shocked. He searched my eyes and I could tell he didn’t immediately remember what I was referring to. I was about to feel insulted, and was already regretting my playful question. Then his mouth turned up into a smile before he laughed along with me.
“If you want to know, you’ll have to find out for yourself,” he said with a wink.
My cheeks burned as I glanced down his chest and toward his crotch. My eyes quickly darted away in near shame. I couldn’t believe it, but I wanted to touch him.
Badly.
But I still wasn’t sold that he was entirely a good guy. Successful? Sure. But good? I couldn’t possibly get myself mixed up with a guy like him.
We were different people.
Hunter noticed my apprehension, “What are you scared of?”
I didn’t have an answer. Or at least, I didn’t want to give him one. Even though I enjoyed spending time with him, I couldn’t bring myself to be completely open.
“I get it,” he told me, “You don’t rush into things.”
“Aren’t you being a bit presumptuous?” I said, taking a deep breath in as I started to feel a little light headed. I didn’t realize how much wine I had gulped down. It was starting to catch up with me.
“Nope,” he said after smacking his lips from the wine, “I’m saying that I get it. Some things shouldn’t be rushed. I mean, honestly, I’ve had that thought. Well, it’s mostly about my first time. I was fifteen and I barely knew her.” He paused and took another sip before continuing, “I think most women tend to believe men just don’t care. Maybe it’s true for some or maybe it’s an act. But it was just so clumsy. I came in like five seconds.” He laughed.
I laughed even though I normally didn’t find something so crude, funny. Hunter looked over at me with a smile. The two of us laughed together until the sound died down and silence settled over us once again. I glanced up at him just in time to see his eyes rake over my body. I gulped and started to nervously pick at the top of the wooden table. I couldn’t ignore the warm tingly feeling inside my stomach. There was a sort of newly formed sexual tension between us and we could both feel it.
“I’m pretty sure my stamina has improved since then,” he laughed.
“Wouldn’t that be something you know?”
Hunter chuckled, “Should be, right?”
Even with this new kind of tension between us, the atmosphere was more relaxed than before. Hunter managed to break through the ice enough to get me laughing. I was actually enjoying his company. I looked at my empty glass and debated on having some more. But I was already feeling the buzz and I was in good spirits. I wanted to let loose, for once, but needed some control. So I sat back, deciding against more wine.
“Sure you don’t want more? I saw the way you were staring at the wine glass all depressed and sad.”
I let out a tiny laugh, “maybe a little.” I grabbed the bottle and poured a tiny amount at the bottom of my glass. It was just enough to get one final sip.
He was observant. I liked that about him but, at the same time, it had the tendency to drive me crazy. I felt my cheeks burn. He drove me nuts in more ways than one. I could only deny so much of what I was feeling. I ran one of my fingertips around the rim of my wine glass.
“You know,” I started quietly, “I may be serious, but I bet I can surprise you.”
Hunter leaned in closer, clearly interested, “Okay then. Surprise me.”
“I may have fantasized about you once,” I beamed with a surprised smile. I couldn’t believe the words coming out of my mouth. But a part of me wanted to show him that I wasn’t some super boring goodie-two-shoes.
Hunter leaned in closer. His eyebrows were arched and there was a gleam in his eyes.
“Oh, yeah?”
“Mhm,” I nodded. I dropped my voice down to a whisper, “I was tired. I’d just showered and gotten into bed. I don’t know why, but something about a show on TV sparked it. It just started before I even realized it and then I got lost in the fantasy from there.”
I stayed silent long enough for Hunter to think I wouldn’t say anything else. Just as he opened his mouth to say something, I beat him to the punch.
“The people on the TV were on an island. And when I got lost in that moment, it was the two of us. You and me, we were together on that island at night.”
“What were we doing there?” His voice was low and mellow. I could hear him breathing now. He was hanging off my every word, super into what I was telling him. A part of me loved being able to take control of him in that way.
My tongue wet my lips as I looked down at the table. I knew he knew the answer, but he wanted to hear it from me. He wanted to hear, in my voice, everything I had imagined us doing and everything I did to myself. But I wouldn’t say any more than I already had.
I stayed silent as my eyes glanced up at his. He knew what had happened between us in my little fantasy.
I held my breath when he reached over and placed his hand over mine. His touch was warm compared to the chilled night air. The warmth spread from the top of my hand, up my arms, and all through my body. I breathed out, but found it difficult to keep a steady rhythm to my breath. Hunter wrapped his hand around me and gently guided it down until I felt hardness under his pants.
I let out a small gasp. My face grew hot and so did my chest. Part of me wanted to jerk my hand away, but I didn’t. Feeling him bulging under his jogging pants sent a jolt of electricity through me like I had never experienced before. Even just with that one touch, I could feel just how big he was. I gulped.
A part of my mind scolded myself. I was practically screaming inside my head to stop. It was the part of my mind that I always built my life around. It was the reason everyone told me I was too serious. It was the part of me that always made me feel like I was a burden on everyone around me. But there was another part of me that genuinely enjoyed Hunter’s company. It was the part of me that allowed me to accept what was happening. And that turned out to be stronger than my urge to be straight-faced and respectable every second of every day.
Hunter slowly released my hand, giving me a chance to pull away. That small action was what tipped the scales for me. He did actually have the ability to be respectful and considerate. I pressed my hand down a bit more on the bulge in his pants and drew a circle with my thumb. He groaned, his eyes piercin
g into mine. There was something about the sound he made and the heat I felt under my hand that made a sense of longing take hold of me. The deep sound from his throat, the way he’d taken my hand, the sheer size of him—all of it made my pulse pound.
Hunter wrapped his hand around my wrist and tugged until I stood up. He guided me over to him and pulled me down. He wanted me on his lap. My heart rattled in my chest. Something about this moment made everything feel official. It was as if sitting on his lap sealed the deal. It was all in my mind, of course, but I needed a moment. Then, quite unexpectedly, I ran my fingers through his hair, surprised to find it silky smooth. I thought about Alice’s desire to run her hand through his hair. I remembered how silly I thought it was at the time.
Now, in that moment, I felt crazy to have doubted the intoxicating quality of feeling the top of his head as I looked into his eyes. Hunter placed his hand on my cheek and moved in to press his lips against mine. Within seconds, the simple peck turned into a long heated kiss.
That was the true initiation.
I was lost in his kiss as I sat on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me and held me close. He draped his blanket around me, but the kiss was more than enough heat to keep both of us warm. We split for a second and our breath formed a small grey cloud in the night air. My chest heaved. I was in disbelief but it was good; it was a blur of rousing sensations coursing through every muscle I had. It was the excitement of the entire night building up to this exact moment. Hunter pulled me into another kiss that consumed me completely. My entire body went limp as I melted into him.
I was lost in ecstasy by the time he slowly slipped his hands under my shirt. It felt like he left a trail of fire everywhere his hand went along my back and sides. I had never experienced anything like it. I shifted on his lap and ended up straddling him. Our kiss broke as we both moaned and breathed in anticipation.
“Fuck,” I gasped.
Just the feeling of his hardness rubbing against my center, even with our clothing in the way, was enough to send waves of pleasure over me. The sensations I experienced during the climax of my fantasy with Hunter paled in comparison to this part of actually being with him, and it was just the start. I rolled my hips to rub against him and I felt something deep in the pit of my stomach. It was like a ball of heat that was slowly sinking until I felt it between my legs. It made me tremble and widen my thighs a little more.
“Oh, fuck,” I gasped.
Even in the dark, I could see his eyes shining. He kissed me again, deeply, before grabbing my hand and placing it at the waistband of my jeans. I was confused for a moment, but then realized he wanted me to take them off. I unbuttoned them and he pulled down the zipper, but when I went to stand up, he held me down.
“Show me,” he groaned in my ear.
“What?”
“Show me,” he repeated, “Show me how I made you feel when it was just a fantasy.”
Hunter made his intentions clear when he guided my hand to slip under my panties. I flushed with arousal and embarrassment. Could I really do that? It felt dirty and way out of my norm, but dammit if it didn’t sound like one of the hottest things I could imagine. I slipped my hand further down in my jeans and moaned when I found I was already soaking wet.
“Oh,” I choked, “Oh. Oh! Oh, FUCK!”
I slipped a couple fingers inside and let my head fall onto his shoulder as I pleasured myself. I wasn’t sure if it was in my imagination or if I could actually feel him throbbing inside his pants. The fact that it was all my doing to turn him on so much was exhilarating. I worked myself a little faster and that’s when his hand joined me. He slowly worked his finger inside along with mine and, before I knew it, he’d replaced my fingers with his completely.
“Oh, Hunter. Oh, shit. Shit. Yes!”
I couldn't help crying out as he worked me with his fingers. I thrust my hips back and forth, panting. I dropped my head back, the stars dotting the sky became a blur as he worked me into an orgasm. The fantasy, as good as it had been, was absolutely nothing in comparison to his real touch. I had no idea someone could send such intense pleasure surging through my entire body. I cried out and trembled. I clawed at his shoulders and groaned in his ear, contracting around his fingers until I was done.
“Was it something like that?” he asked.
“Ye- yeah,” I choked out, “A little something like that.”
“One hell of a fantasy,” he smirked.
I reached under his pants and wrapped my hand around his erection, “I never said that was the end of it.”
“Oh?”
I jerked him inside his pants until he was moaning. I loved the feeling of my palm wrapped around his thick shaft, the blood pumping through it. I moaned too. It was good to please him, but when I shut my eyes and imagined what he would feel like inside me, that was almost as good as my fantasy too.
“Oh, Cassie,” he grunted.
“What?” I drew in a rattled breath and braved the question, “You want to know what happened at the end of the fantasy?”
“Fuck, yes, I do.”
I stood up and pulled off my jeans and panties. The cool night air kissed my legs and sent goosebumps along my naked skin, but I didn’t care. I only wanted one thing. I leaned forward and tugged his pants down enough to free him. I licked my lips, laying my eyes on him for the first time. He was large and throbbing. The heat between my legs intensified to a point I didn’t know was possible. I could feel the wetness between my thighs and all I wanted to do was know what he would feel like inside of me. I climbed over his lap and positioned him right at my entrance.
“It went a little something like this,” I whispered before lowering my body onto him.
We both moaned and threw our heads back. This wasn’t sensible in the least, but it felt amazing. And, for once, I got so lost in the pleasure of life and none of my hang-ups mattered. I moved up and down on him, his hands on my hips, grinding and moaning and gripping his shoulders. We kissed. It was a sloppy, heated kiss as our tongues danced around each other. It couldn’t last long, not when we were moving so quickly, grunting and panting into the cold night.
He cursed and I let out choked breaths as he lifted his hips up a little higher and pushed inside of me even deeper. A second orgasm took hold of my body. My knees trembled as my thighs clenched around him. I heard his voice warning me that he was about to finish. But I didn’t care—we didn’t care.
I slammed down on top him and rolled against him until I felt him pulse and quiver inside of me. His hand clutched at my shoulders as he looked into my eyes.
I sat back on the balls of my feet. He threw a blanket on the floor and the two of us curled up together, looking up at the starry night sky.
The next morning, Alice was surprised to find Hunter and I in the kitchen when she emerged from the basement suite. Her hair was disheveled and her clothing was clumsily thrown on. She glanced between the two of us and did a poor job of hiding her smirk.
“I didn’t expect you to still be here, Cass.”
“You were my ride,” I reminded her, “I was hardly going to walk home.”
“Well, it’s not like he couldn’t have driven you home if you wanted to go,” she said, her gaze fixed on Hunter as he cooked us omelets. “Or you could’ve called an Uber.”
“Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed,” Hunter said offhandedly.
“Sorry,” Alice said before taking a seat on one of the stools lining the island counter, “I’m hungover as hell.”
Hunter turned around and motioned for me to take a seat beside Alice. Then he placed a pitcher of Bloody Mary on the counter with a couple glasses.
“Drink,” he told us, but looking specifically at Alice.
She didn’t need to be told twice; she poured the some into her glass and drank half of it in one go. I just shook my head.
“How about a glass of orange juice instead?”
Hunter poured some for me before going back to cooking. Without looking over h
is shoulder, he asked Alice, “Where’s Cal?”
“Downstairs, still snoring like a freight train.”
From her tone and the look on her face, it was obvious that her one-time private encounter with Cal was one she was already regretting. Hunter dropped the subject. I shot Alice a quick glance.
“Are you good with a spinach omelet?”
Alice scrunched up her nose, “I’ll just stick with the Bloody Mary. Thanks.”
Hunter shrugged and served an omelet for me and himself. He took the seat beside me and the three of us sat in relative silence. Alice was staring off into space for a while, just sipping on the Bloody Mary, before she slowly turned to look at us.
“So,” she muttered, “You two.”
“What about us?” He asked between mouthfuls of food.
“What did you two get up to last night?”
I instantly recognized that tone. Alice wasn’t just being nosy, she was also suggesting that Hunter and I hooked up—which was true. Still, I started to panic inside. It wasn’t exactly something I wanted to talk about, but I was struggling to come up with even a stupid excuse.
“We watched movies and fell asleep on the couch while waiting for you two rabbits to stop fucking,” he said casually.
I felt relief sweep over me, even if I was slightly put off by his word choice. I just took a long sip of my orange juice and stayed quiet. In my mind, there was no need to either confirm or deny the story.
When Cal finally came out from the basement, Hunter told him there was an omelet waiting for him in the microwave. He grabbed it and sat down, not bothering to check if he needed to warm it up or not. He shoveled the food into his mouth, hardly pausing to take a breath and not caring that he was making a ton of noise.
I couldn’t hide my disgust. I hated his lack of manners. He had no composure because he just didn’t care. It dawned on me that it was exactly this sort of thing that made Alice’s dad dislike the guy. I glanced over at Alice, who looked practically repulsed. I was obviously even more disgusted with her drunken decision to have sex with him.
